Our damage waiver is collected through our secure system, generating additional revenue if no damage is caused, but also providing you with the means to resolve accidental guest damages quickly when they do occur.

How it works

Choose from either, or combine and give guests the option of paying a refundable deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.

Deposit

Collection

After completing our guest screening process, guests are asked to pay the deposit amount set by you, with the payment authenticated using 3D Secure to protect against fraud.

Handling

We keep the deposit securely in a trust account, taking a small handling fee to cover our administrative costs.

Refunding

If the guest does not cause any damage, we refund the deposit amount directly back to the guest.

If damage is caused, then we will refund the required amount of the deposit to cover the damage back to you, and the rest back to the guest.

Collection

FAQs

How long does it take to refund a guest their deposit if there is no damage?

If no damage is caused during their stay, the guest will be refunded the deposit amount 14 days after checkout.

What happens if the guest purchases a damage waiver, but then steals something or has a party?

This is what we class as theft and malicious damage which are not covered by the damage waiver. If you have purchased our Advanced Screening add on, which includes our Host Guarantee, this will protect you from these instances.

What are the fees that come with using your deposit/damage waiver solution?

We take a non-refundable admin fee for deposit handling and a small percentage for damage waiver facilitation. Please contact our sales team for more information on these fees.
